Since #3 is almost 1/2 baked, we have been discussing our current vehicle situation. The truck works well for us at the moment & three car seats will fit...but it's not ideal, especially when doing longer trips and when taking the dog. I've been trying to hold off, but am thinking about joining the ranks of the super cool moms who have those really fun, cool mini vans.
This is where you come into play...if you are one of those cool moms, please tell me what your van is and why you like or dislike it :) We plan to go test drive several but would love to hear what you like/dislike about yours! Thanks!
Aaron may feel the same as the guy in this song at first...but with time, he will start feeling cool in his minivan.

The nicest van that I have seen is Ann's in-laws. It doesn't look so much like a van. E-mail Ann and ask her what it is. I also like a Yukon. It had bucket seats in the second row and a bench with three seats in the back. It looks like a van inside but is an SUV on the outside. Walleta
Toyota and Honda make great mini-vans. Great resale, reliability, high ratings. We have been happy with our chrysler town and country. We got the small engine for better MPG. Usually priced at a few thousand less than foreign. I like that the seats all fold up into the floor. As far as being cool in a mini van, it's not possible. Just wave the flag of defeat and by the mini van. They are great people movers and that is what you need for your growing family. BC
LOL!!! That video is sooo funny. We have had two mini-vans. We bought our first when Marcus was 2 weeks old. (The 2 door car wasn't going to cut it.) We upgraded to the 4 door model when Hannah was born. Loved them both, although it was also a happy day when we 'graduated' to the SUV. : ) Go for it!! You won't regret it.
We choose the Ford Freestyle instead of a mini van. It looks more like an SUV but gets better MPG (at least 25) and costs less. Inside it has bucket seats in the 2nd row and a bench that seats 2 in the 3rd row, so it seats 6 instead of 7. I love it! Good luck!
I love the fact that my darling husband left a comment however he left one point out. Go with the power doors!!! Ugh. We decided against that and I still regret that to this day. :)
i have a suburban because we haul grandparents and lots of friends around town. i know you're not looking at suburbans - but if i were getting a minivan i would DEFINITELY suck it up and get those power doors. i hate minivans but i do COVET those power doors :)
My in-laws have a Chevy Uplander. It's actually considered a truck but it's a van. It's super nice and also has a T.V. in it. It has 2 bucket seats and then a bench in the back, plus a trunk area behind that. Hope this helps! Good Luck!!!

Sliding doors are a must--they're so much easier than an SUV's doors. But we didn't splurge and get the automatic sliding doors, and I would definitely recommend those--nice for when your hands are full!

We have a Honda Odyssey and love it! Very roomy, 2 bucket seats in the middle, with one rear bench that "tows" away easily-- which is nice when you need to haul things and need more room. It also has automatic sliding doors--a must!! Like someone else said it has great resale, reliability and high ratings on consumer reports. Good luck and welcome to the cool minivan club :)
we have a NISSAN QUEST, and i love it......plus it's a cool looking mini-van!! it has automatic doors which is great, seats move easy, plenty of room. only downfall is...the sliding door windows don't roll down, which would be nice when the weather is nice...i think the honda odysesy ones do. anyway...i truly love my quest!!
